Maritha Rossouw matriculated in 1989 from Oranje Girls High school in Bloemfontein. Then completed her medical degree in december 1995 at the University of the Free State, I spend 2 years working in the UK after completing my internship at the Pelenomi and Universitas hospitals in Bloemfontein. In January 2001 started as a Registrar in Radiation Oncology at the Tygerberg hospital. In June 2002 reloacted to pretoria with my husband for his career advancement. Then worked as senior medical officer in Medical Oncology at Steve Biko Academic hospital for 2 years before joining Dr Albert’s Bouwer and Jordaan at the Wilgers Oncology centre as medical officer. Was involved in clinical trials and worked at the Unit till December 2010. During that time I did one of the first palliative medicine courses that was run by UCT in 2004 . January 2011 I went back to being a registrar in Radiation oncology at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital- where I qualified as a Clinical and radiation Oncologist from the College in August 2014. Since Januarie 2015 I am back in fulltime private practise with the Alberts,Bouwer and Jordaan group – currently involved in the Witbank clinic as well as Wilgers , Unitas and Midstream units.
Is married to a minister of religion – currently studying to be a educational Pschycologist and has a 8 year old son.
In my sparetime I like to spend time with my family, reading and visiting with friends, walking and gardening.
